DUMB GREEK SOCIALIST EGOMANIAC.....PSEUDO INTELLECTUAL GARBAGE....
20 October 2018, 05:34
He had me until the proposal of a one world currency. Say no to globalism! Globalism is what will kill democracy.
19 October 2018, 14:26
There is no debt. Sorry, every country just makes up money and pumps it into the economy. National banks make up money through buy government debt (gilts). Commercial banks make up money by lending more than they actually have.
19 October 2018, 01:31
Yanis fails to understand that we do not have capitalism. we have socialism.. you cannot have capitalism alongside a central Bank. that is impossible. Central banks are socialist/communist constructs.

Left will eat democracy !!!!
3 October 2018, 17:57
WHY DOES PRIVATISM, A SOCIAL SYSTEM, SHAMEFULLY PRETEND TO BE AN ECONOMIC SYSTEM, CAPITALISM? ? ? ?
1 October 2018, 22:17
I don't call myself a leftist anymore because people keep lumping me in with people I have nothing in common. I'm a statist individualist who believes that practical evidence politics is the future.Take what works and seems sensible from the different political sciences and synthesize it into something new.I feel this guy!
30 September 2018, 01:03
Democracy is mob rule and is in no way a system that could ever work within the constitution. The sad truth is that human beings are not equal and democracy is inherently based on this flawed metaphysical belief. Leftist will line up to bash metaphysical beliefs like those associated with organized religions, but at the same time don't ever take the time to question metaphysical concepts like democracy. Also if you really think people are equal try playing Michael Jordan 1 on 1 in basketball.

'If you want to know who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticise' VoltaireThis man, along with his partners Chumpsky and Eno among others, are no more than Rothschild employed Shills who's sole purpose is to make sure the likes of you and I are kept 'looking the other way'.......that is to say keep us from asking awkward questions about their employers and The Rothschild Owned Central Banking System (which controls and prints the currency of almost every nation worldwide and so control this reality we live in lock, stock and barrel). Not only this, 9/11, Sandy (hoaxe) Hook and many, many more false flag operations of terror are also 'off limits' to these supposed 'hero's of the people', so anything really worthwhile debating is not on the agenda............for those with eyes to see and ears to listen, go research Bill Cooper, Ted Gunderson, John Todd and use 'an open mind' when doing your delving. These deceivers will find out before the end that it is They who have ultimately 'had the whool pulled over their eyes' and lose that which is most dearest to them.Have no fellowship in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:11Put not your Faith in Men.

No doubt ! Sound the alarm ! Mechanization and the insecurity of human nature's greed in those people in power and authority, will continue to hoard wealth one very small place, to continue dangling the carrot in front of masses who will die hoping they get anywhere with any degree of satisfaction that resembles those marketing scheme billboards !
24 September 2018, 19:05
I love you Yanis Varoufakis
24 September 2018, 19:04
He is very attractive n every way. Mentally, emotionally physically.
24 September 2018, 14:24
Some thoughts:1. I couldn't really take him seriously after he put Lee Kuan Yew and the Communist Part of PR China in the same sentence. LKY was adamant about earning investments for Singapore with a strong rule of law and trustworthiness. Capitalism functions very differently with a strong legal system.2. Singapore and PR China are for the most part, East-Asian in terms of ethnic make up and culture. He does not account for cultural differences with the 'West' where attitudes towards finances and authority are very different. As a generalisation, authoritarian and conservative sources of power are not frowned upon in Asia. Capitalism is also not a dirty word in Asia - but wealth is not traditionally respected as a virtue - it's seen as a hedge against rainy days and difficult times and / or an opportunity to help your neighbours. Admittedly, this attitude has shifted somewhat in the last 50 years to define what your 'class' is, much like the rest of the world.3. I agree that democracy is the best system out there - it is the lesser of many evils. However he does not account for the fact that places like Singapore and PR China have 'young' economies in the context of recent history. Democracy decreases the chance of a government going rogue / evil (true) - but he forgot to say it also decreases the chance of a young economy surviving. Now that Singapore has its economy pretty much in order, things like democracy and other forms of human rights are being discussed more - this is natural. I don't, however, see the correlation with capitalism on this last point.

Communism described in a different utopian form. Dictatorship of the proletariat. Who is he fooling?
24 September 2018, 11:09
Wow, he failed to mention that NO one ism is the answer. So far, it seems that a capitalist economic foundation that is kept from overtaking the power of government by monopolizing their market segment by socialist government oversight and forced break ups of giant "too big to fail" corporations is the most beneficial for all involved.
23 September 2018, 15:20
Just checked out who is this guy. Well, the former minister of Ministry of Finance of Greek. No wonder why Greek goes bankrupt.
23 September 2018, 15:16
This is a piece of junk, period.
22 September 2018, 02:58
I couldn't agree more with you! This video was exactly what I was looking for.
21 September 2018, 16:53
"one that is simultaneously libertarian, Marxist and Keynesian." well, any economist with half a brain will tell you that's impossible. We already practice Keynesian economics, Obama did it for 8 years, it got us nowhere, and doubled the debt. The current system we have is not one of capitalism, but of corporatism which is disguised as capitalism. When socialism and corporatism fails, capitalism gets the blame. I don't think we should be looking to Marxism, or anyone from GREECE for answers. Corporations, banks, defense contractors, and billionaires paying off politicians in return for tax cuts, subsidies, regulations, contracts, and intervention overseas has nothing to do with capitalism. Billion-dollar bailouts, too big to fail, sub-prime lending encouragement, government-sponsored entities, a welfare state, and privatizing profits while socializing losses has nothing to do with capitalism. These are all failures of government, not the lack thereof
21 September 2018, 16:50
What will eat democracy is the far left and communism disguised as democrats
18 September 2018, 20:24
Communism is the friend of social justice, raise the voice of poor people who doesn't have guts to raise voice, raise the awareness among the lazies and misusers to be fair in their contribution, stand against the injustice, even if the injustice hides behind God.
18 September 2018, 06:02
When democracy is eaten up, where do you get the right to speak up. What you need is forceful over through of power of the 1%.
14 September 2018, 19:22
He fails to support his claim that the cash is idle, if we take the stock market for example, you buy a stock for some money that money changes hands if those hands doesnt use that money then it is wasted, however that is not the case that money is used on the market to buy goods or invest in a new company which also creates jobs. Money is never idle it is always used unless you have it in actual bills and you do nothing with it. If it is being in a bank account the bank will gladly use that money, either loan it out and keep 10% as security, or they will invest that money into something.Dont take me wrong here, he is a very smart guy and he clearly has a good education in economy, i think he forgets the connection between buying stock for example with money being trapped in the the stock market, it isnt. You get a stock by buying it from someone else. So now that person is holding the money and you holding the stock. It is easy to believe that money is somehow being trapped in the stock market but there is no money there at all really. The money just changed hands.

It is wrong to assume that China does not practice domocracy. It practices democracy in its true spirit -- in selecting the best leaders. Surprisingly we are the one who do not always select the best leaders.
Sam Sebastian Khor
14 September 2018, 01:45
We need to reform our democracy so that we have the best leaders not based on popularity but on performance and talents.
13 September 2018, 15:50
This guy should run the world!
12 September 2018, 00:44
Oh Yanis you sound so democratic , so realistic and so logical. So tell me where is the logic in supporting a Greek-FYROM agreement that recognizes without any proof, Macedonian identity-language-ethnicity (for FYROM) and give them claim over solid historical facts that Macedonia is Greek ? Oh perhaps this is linked with the fact that you despise Vladimir Putin.OH with this agreement FYROM becomes NATO member and the US can establish more military bases in the area and encircles Russia putting pressure on Putin. So tell me democratic Yanis what is your true purpose organizing DiEM ?Once I was fond of you. Now I realized that you are another agent.
11 September 2018, 04:27
Democracy is two wolves and a goat voting on what to have for dinner.
6 September 2018, 22:46
This man was responsible for putting 'the final nail in the coffin' re The Greeks sad demise and now parades himself as The Answer To All Their Problems with much fanfare and publicity............Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who gets as much media coverage as this guy does is in league with The Controllers of our perceived present day reality..........I state this because if he was indeed genuine, he would have been 'taken care of' with some sort of national scandal until he quietly disappeared. I use French presidential candidate Dominic Khan as an example here as he was scandalised by The Rothschild Central Banking System after he publicly announced we should have an audit of 'said gold reserves at Fort Knox'........where is this man now?Getting back to The Greeks.....these oppressed people now find themselves having to grow Toxic Monsanto Seeds on pain of massive fines or even incarceration.....there is little to no health care and they are existing pretty much as Debt Slaves in the 'true sense of the phrase'.....as someone who has visited regularly to Greece for 30 years I can testify to the very sad decline of this once great nation.....why has Greece been 'all but forgotten by the rest of Europe?'.Ireland too, has had 'the strong arm tactic' of enforcing water meters on every household without so much as a debate.....thankfully the Irish people have managed to put a temporary halt to these hienous act......but for how long. The Rothschilds Central Banking System is in almost every country in the world and so literally Owns our World Goverments, Military, Health Care, Education, Science and very importantly Our World Media and Entertainment Industry........don't take my word on this go check these facts out for yourselves or 'go back to sleep/sheep'.Varoufakis, Noam Chumpsky, Brian Eno and the list goes on and on......ALL these seemingly 'for the people' individuals are actually bought and paid for Shills/Deceivers in the employ of The Rothschilds....again, don't believe me, go do some delving and prove me wrong.........Chumpsky flatly refuse to debate 9/11 official narrative and The Rothschilds Central Banking System as well as being a self confessed Zionist and Brian Eno is a very public supporter of the easy to prove Julian Assange disinformation agent with strong ties to The Rothschilds.Ephesians 5:11 Have no fellowship in the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.Put not your faith in Men......

I do not care about Democracy, Democracy didn’t put food on my table, Democracy didn’t create this iPad I am on, Democracy didn’t give my my job, Democracy didn’t give me my car, Democracy didn’t give me my house, Capitalism is what gave me everything I have. The only reason I put up with Democracy is because Democratic countries tend to be more Capitalist. However if Democracy goes between me and Capitalism than Democracy has to go.And if 60% of the population want to vote for Socialism than me and the 40% will separate from the 60% and declare independence. Y’all can redistribute your own wealth.
2 September 2018, 14:37
So sad that those in power don't listen to the man who speaks truth to power.
1 September 2018, 05:53
I really never liked the Democrats
1 September 2018, 02:56
Regarding the comment that CEOs are too scared to invest their stagnant capital... rather, they know that our economy is a sucker's bet, because they are in the role of the "house".
29 August 2018, 17:14
Capitalism is cancer and produces nothing more than debt, wage slavery, and harmful products.
29 August 2018, 03:55
Who ever said that democracy was good? I hate democracy! I don't want anybody voting to take my natural rights away! All forms of gov't are bad. Why do you feel that you need gov't? to tell you what to do? So you want to vote for someone to force you to do what you wanted to do anyways? Also, it's important to note that real capitalism, not the crony capitalism that exist today, is perfectly moral. The crony capitalism of today wouldn't exist without gov't. Corporations are not free market capitalism. They are gov't institutions created by and governed by gov't and regulations.

“When a bank makes a loan it simply adds to the borrowers’ deposit account in the bank by the amount of the loan. The money is not taken from anyone else’s deposit; it was not previously paid in to the bank by anyone. It’s new money, created by the bank for the use of the borrower.” Robert B. Anderson Secretary of the Treasury under Dwight Eisenhower 1959. If Citizens were to expand the money supply this way its called~counterfeiting... when Banks do this its called an interest bearing debt or a loan...The outcome is the same that of getting something for nothing~wealth without work. This systemic game of wealth extraction through manipulation of numbers is the reason why Money and Bankers consistently Rule over the Creators of Real Wealth aka People who Work. Watch~Money as Debt, The Secret of Oz and Richard Werner prof brilliantly explains.Look up: Positive Money, The American Monetary Institute, Public Banking, Monetary Reform.

So call Democracy, where does that exists?
25 August 2018, 00:13
The bloc was ill-conceived - 20+ nations with idiosyncratic differences Hooked Up to one base rate! Imbalanced, it must fail. They may continue to print banknotes, but the truth is the same. Devaluation of their currency will come soon as some will know, Hitler tried to dump huge amounts of paper money on the UK during the Second War, purely to de-stablise the economy. The bloc will fail but will almost certainly be overshadowed by the good old yanks' Pump & Dump behaviour. Buckle up the next two years are looking better the an MGM production. ;-))
23 August 2018, 22:22
Just want to make a note about his segue from his Star Trek/Matrix analogy to his proposal for democratized capitalism using the phrase "At the enterprise level imagine a capital market..."
23 August 2018, 21:59
People think that democracy means to be allowed to vote. ..People pay big taxes and are afraid to face their governement 😃
21 August 2018, 13:28
LOL imagine if your capital follows you around? Yeah great idea but how would the 1% make out like bandits while you collect the breadcrumbs? The whole system exists to give the workers the bare minimum of their labors and enrich the privileged few. NEVER FORGET Ricardo's iron law of wages, essentially boiled down equates to will work for food.
21 August 2018, 13:22
Nonsense "the Soviet debacle" saw a peasant society transformed into at minimum a 2nd world living status. Where there was universal education, health care and housing. What are the biggest demands on household budgets today? Where does that money go? Into corporate pockets and elites. After WWII the Soviet Union had 4% of US capital so imagine if two friends one has 10,000,000 dollars to start with at age 21 and the other has 400,000 on the balance of probability which do you expect would do better economically?
From Left To right
20 August 2018, 07:02
Capitalism is the genuine spirit of DEMOCRACY and each purchase is a vote. This guy wants to steal your money because he thinks he will spend it better than you. In democracies, government debt is the result of people voting for those that mismanage money. The most popular candidates are often the ones who offer free stuff at the expense of future generations.
